The Character of a New Haven Garden Apartment

Calder Birdsey’s (M.Arch 2025) exploration and meditation of the architecture, geography, and atmosheres of a typical New Haven housing type from the 1920s:  the low-rise Garden Apartment, frequently organized around a courtyard.  This project was shared in the public realm at the Field Methods on Howe event on May 7, 2025.
